Evolution Erotica’s Ivan
Takes Porn to Another Level

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Ivan, a Russian-born filmmaker, has been signed as a contract director at Evolution Erotica, where he has worked for a year and a half.

His Sexual Predator 2 is now available. It stars Deja Daire, Kat, Kami Andrews, Taylor Rain, Charlotte Lee, and marks the debut of new Evolution contract performer Jack “The Bulldog” Venice. Although he also shot the first Sexual Predator, Ivan told AVN.com that Vol. 2 is “my first all hands-on project.”

Ivan started work for Evolution owner Tom Byron as a production assistant. He was rapidly promoted to shooting and editing Behind-the-Scenes footage and extra sex scenes.

Byron told AVN.com, “Ivan is one in a million. In my 20 years in the business I have never seen an adult filmmaker like this.”

Ivan emigrated from the Soviet Union to Los Angeles with his parents when he was eight. In high school he got a scholarship to a prestigious art school where he earned awards, honors and a diploma. He went on to a well-known film school where he gained experience working on student and independent films and Hollywood features.

While working as a crew person in television he made an award-winning short horror film. A chance meeting with Byron and then general manager Kevin K. led to an invitation to join Evolution in 2003.

Ivan calls the vignette-structured Sexual Predator 2 “a journey into the darker realm of sexual, nightmarish depravity.” The scene with Kat, he says, is based on “the theory of lucid dreaming, where one can create and control their own dream-state reality.”

Pretty heady stuff for a pornflick, but as Byron told AVN.com, “Ivan takes filmmaking to another level.”
