TRIP 2005
Part #4
(The
Hall of Fame, loads of burgers, and a bumpy flight) |
We made plans
for Friday to be our Pro Football Hall of Fame day. But we stayed up until
6am playing board games without the board. Actually the games we played
would be illegal in most states. We probably were even breaking the law,
us rebels that we are! I woke up at 10am but let Kami rest until around
noon. I was hoping to stay around the
house and play some more but Kami really wanted me to see the Hall. It
took us around two hours to get there as we drove through Ohio and it's
many small colleges. It was cool to see many small schools that I watch
play football on TV. We even drove by the High School about which an Award
winning documentary was done regarding their football team and tradition.
On the way to the Hall I spotted a White Castle burger place and begged
Kami to stop. I was like a little kid begging mommy ... please please
please. I was so childish I almost began feeding from her nipple. Nam
Nam Nam! She promised to stop by afterwards and even let me touch her
nipple later that day. This day was going to be good. I was a kid in a
candy store, like big fat kid except the candies were football, little
burgers, and nipples. :)
We arrived
at the Hall of Fame two hours before closing and quickly ran to the gift
shop. I bought bunch of stuff but mostly gifts for others. The place was
cool with a section for each team. Afterwards we proceeded to check out
many amazing pics. throughout the history of football. There were displays
of individual players and full team hall of fame recaps. I was all over
Eric Dickerson shrines snapping away pictures while Kami tried to lick
John Elway displays. Eric Dickerson was drafted by the LA Rams in 1983
and I instantly became a huge fan. Buying anything of his even all magazines
that had him on the cover. My place was an ED shrine. He still own records
for most rushing yards in a rookie season (1,808) and in a Season (2,105).
Both amazing records done in back-to-back seasons. Fuck I loved that player,
he was my inspiration to become a huge Colts fan once he was traded to
them. Um, by the way when I say I loved him I mean like I love my dog.
You know, I like to watch it run, catch, drool and maybe once in a while
give it a hug. Yeah Iwould give ED a hug, shit maybe cup his ass while
I am at it.
We spent
a long time in the player bust section. There are all of the Hall of Famers
bronze busts in this dark room. The room also has these fancy video machines
that have all the players video highlights and bios. We spent most of
our time by them. Kami watched her Steelers while I perused my favorite
players, starting of course with
Eric the Great. There was even a section for "Other Leagues".
I quickly made my move to the USFL section to see how they did with it.
They had a Jim Kelly jersey displayed as well as some magazine covers.
I had the jersey with me but didn't wear it. I was bummed it would have
been a cool picture. But I was wearing my Pittsburgh Maulers Mike Rozier
USFL jersey. Those fans had no chance as Ivan walked in wearing that classic.
Now back to this section ... where the hell were the other leagues? CFL,
Arena, XFL. All those leagues are pro. Or is this the Pro Football Hall
of Fame of NFL and the leagues they destroyed? Not a mention of the XFL
even though they use many of their ideas. Oh well, it was cool to see
USFL and WFL as well as all other small leagues from 50's, 60's, and 70's.
Before leaving Kami took a picture of me in front of the USFL display
and yelled at me for not smiling.
At the end
we stumbled unto the interactive room where I had to school in the passing
game. Kami and I spent a few minutes hitting our receivers as of course
Ivan put on a clinic. Yup a clinic. But no one was there to see my prowess
as a quarterback. The form, the strength, the touch ... all that in this
sexy lineman's body. Kami decided that throwing wasn't enough and tried
punting the ball to the receiver. Well, the ball bounced off the metal
corner and almost killed us. That was pretty damn funny. Check out the
form and connection to the receiver in this picture. Pretty fancy ehh?
Afterwards
Kami wasn't thrilled about White Castle, saying she didn't like how dirty
it was. She changed her mind after I reminded her of the greasy Primanti
Brothers she took me to the night before. Those little burgers were sure
good. When we walked in these two guys were carrying 20 burgers to share
between them. It was crazy. They got this huge box of 30 you can order
for like $15. Holy shnickies! It was good eatin and headed home so I can
have some more candy in a form nippledge action. Yum!
The following
day we re-couped from the long three days. At the airport it was hard
to say good bye especially so close to New Years. We hugged and I was
on my way. The flight back was horrible as we flew threw almost 5 hours
of turbulence. The guy next to me said it was the worst ride he has flown
on. But we got there in one piece. I spent most of the flight watching
my "What's Happening" Season 1 DVD set. That Rerun was one cool
son of a gun. I forgot how funny that sow was.
With the
trip over I now have to concentrate on the AVN Convention starting 5 days
later. The fun never stops!
