Thursday afternoon Kami came into town and we began our journey. Knowing that this was going to be a schedule nightmare we decided to stay in and watch a bunch of monster movies between "touching our swimsuit areas", ask Kami puts it.

Friday we had a full schedule of things to do. In the morning we went out to Orange County for some rest and relaxation of LA traffic. Actually we met Rog T. Pipe of RogReviews.com for a fun time at the Sports Grille. He interviewed us about our jolly lives as we discussed everything from bad horror films to our mutual love for USC Trojan football. Kami loves horror movies, specifically Zombies but was a bit out of the loop regarding the SC thing. We did discuss her love for the NFL, the Steelers. and her infatuation with Elway and Favre. It was pretty damn cool to hang out with Rog, he is really easy to talk to. I get flustered before interviews but dealing with someone who is so personable and laid back made it pretty easy. We spent four hours talking and eating. Mostly talking, lots of talking. I feel bad for Rog as he has to go through all those hours of audio. And during most of the interview this place blasted lots of music. So there are numerous moments of Kami breaking into a song. Vey funny stuff. As we were leaving I gave Rog a copy of Dawn of the Head. He really enjoyed Texas' Asshole Massacre and my hope was that he would feel the same way about the new movie. He grabbed a quick still of us and we parted ways.

We actually arrived on time for our dinner plans with a friend and her boyfriend. We had Italian and got to know her boy toy. He isn't exactly a boy toy but more of a boy. Toys seem to bring more happiness to the table. He isn't a bad guy just a bit of a dude more then a man. None the less it was great spending time with our friend, especially since Kami only gets to see our buddy once every few months. The next day was going to be real busy with a 10am still shoot for the Kamster and a dinner/interview thingy for Genesis magazine with Kami. We spent over 4 hours in the truck today and were pooped.

Here is Rog's take on our interview session at the Grill from RogReviews.com:

"I have three interviews that should be up on the site this week thanks to a busy last few days. First I got a chance to do a phone interview with hot new black starlet Roxy Reynolds. (Check out her Yahoo group, she’s a cutie.) Her interview should be up early in the week and look for a review of at least one of her movies around the same time. On Friday I had lunch with Ivan and Kami Andrews, interviewing both of them. We rolled over two hours of tape between the two of them, so it may take me a few days. When they are up though, I think you will be pleased with the results. Ivan is a very interesting guy who makes some cool flicks. (His latest, “Dawn of the Head” will be reviewed this week.) Kami had a lot to say and I think a lot of you will be pleasantly surprised by this interview. I let her clear up this idea that we don’t get along and then she gives us the full story on her career, the great flick she directed (Who Let the Whores Out) and just about everything else you’ve always wanted to know about her. "

So we woke up early Saturday to get ready for Kami's still shoot. Well, we are still waiting. The guy cancelled, which gave us some time to spend together and "sleep" some more. Sometimes we call it "napping". Since Kami was not up on the new times of the USC Trojan dominance, I made her watch the Number One team in the land. She quickly fell in love with the team and their video game type offense.

Later that evening we met up with Gram Ponante at the House of Pies. Kami was feeling ill but still pulled off an amazing interview. The interview was going to be on Gram's site and Genesis Magazine. The last two days both interviewers were pleasantly surprised with Kami's intelligence and quick wit. She is one awesome chick-a-rooni. We spent so much time talking we even discussed my haunted house. Gram unfortunatly is in the same position as I am these days. Those weird noises that go bump in the night. The night concluded with some pictures taken in front of the House of Pies. We went home and watched tivoed UCLA game then I watched Kami take a shower.

Gram later that weekend talked about our night.at the Pies place:

"I met a former Playmate of the Month two weeks ago who told me that, in most cases, Playmates don't write their own centerfold questionnaires. "There's a woman in the office who does it," she stated. This shocked and saddened me.

But then I felt better immediately, because I am a natural optimist. Where do optimists go to greet each other but Los Feliz' House of Pies?

That is where Kami Andrews and I hung out and talked about the centerfold text I would write if Playboy ever put women I like in its magazine (although I sure liked Anna Nicole Smith before she started talking so much).

Kami Andrews' turn-ons: Tom Petty, The Pixies, Ruby in Paradise
Turn-offs: Ghosts, cats who are assholes.
The rest of the interview will be in a forthcoming issue of Genesis magazine."

JOKE FROM THE DAYS:
